Any physical trainer could tell you that in order to maximize the impact of your workouts, you need to train hard enough to make a difference, but not so hard that you damage yourself. However, this optimal training range has always been exceedingly difficult to figure out, especially because your target training zone changes over time as your fitness level improves. The Suunto t6 takes both the guesswork and the need for a professional trainer out of the fitness equation. During training, the Suunto t6 measures your every single heartbeat, allowing you to analyze data that was previously possible only through laboratory tests. Then the easy-to-use PC analysis combines this training data with your personal background info, calculating seven different physiological parameters, including oxygen consumption, energy consumption, heart rate, respiratory rate, and EPOC (Excess Post-exercise Oxygen Consumption; this describes fatigue accumulation and helps evaluate your training load). Over time, the program automatically monitors your progress and continues to recommend training loads appropriate to your changing fitness level. In addition to the highly advanced heartrate and training functionality, the Suunto t6 also features an altimeter, barometer, thermometer, stopwatch, and, of course, full watch functions, making it the most useful and advanced health & fitness wristop computer on the market today. For some more in-depth info, see the product details down below. *Includes Suunto Personal Training Software and Heart Rate Monitor Belt.

!±8± Heart Monitor Watches Review - Polar FT4 Vs Suunto T3c

The newly released Polar FT4 is one of the two heart monitor watches from Polar that have hit the market by storm. Elegance and class are two words that come to mind when I see the FT4. Polar, the leading brand in heart monitor watches, has been around for over thirty years producing some of the best training tools for elite athletes all over the world. Who needs a fitness coach when you have a Polar heart watch!

Polar Heart Monitor Watches Review: Polar FT4

Bringing together style and functionality is no easy task. To get the right looks and at the same time provide maximum performance is a tough ask for any heart watch manufacturer. However, Polar have been able to do this with the new Polar FT4. The first part of this review will look at the FT4 Polar monitor.

The Polar FT4 shows in real time, heart rate and calories burnt. That is essential if you are someone who is training to lose weight. The Polar FT4 will also give information when your fitness is improving. With this feature, you will never be in the dark about your progress and will always know where you stand. It is also water resistant, comes with a chest strap for better accuracy and has a "button free operation" on the writ unit.

Suunto Heart Monitor Watches Overview: Suunto T3c

Another really good heart monitor watch is the Suunto T3c. Suunto is not as well known in this industry as Polar however, this has not stopped them from challenging Polar for the top spot. The Suunto T3c is a very versatile heart watch with great features and innovative functions also. It also displays in addition to heart beats, calories burnt up during the workouts and exercise duration.

The training Effect Function is there to tell you how hard you are working out and if you should pick up the pace or slow down. It is very important that you do not push yourself over what your body can take because this is where serious injuries can occur. It also comes with a cool transmitter belt for accuracy and to cancel out unwanted signals. The Suunto T3c is also capable of handling water pressure at depths of up to 100 feet. !±8± Heart Monitor Watch Review - Omron Hr-100C Vs Suunto T3C

If you are looking for a really good heart monitor watch to get you through your fitness and weight loss goals, you should look no further than either the Omron Hr-100C or Suunto T3C heart monitor watches. Both these two monitors come from a line of reliable and quality fitness tools. Both Omron and Suunto have given more recognized heart rate monitor brand names such as Polar and Nike a run for their money. The Omron Hr-100C and the Suunto T3C rank up there with the popular Polar F11 and Garmin 305 monitors. The following article is a short review on the Omron Hr-100C and Suunto T3C heart monitor watches.

Review: Omron Hr-100C Heart Monitor Watch

The Omron Hr-100C is one of the most sought after heart monitor watches out in the market. Its' simplicity is what makes it so loved. One of the major plusses for the Omron Hr-100C is the fact that it is easy to program. With its' ventilated strap band, it is quite comfortable to wear. This is very important for people who are training. It keeps your heart rate at a certain level. To maintain this, this Omron heart rate monitor comes with an alarm to warn the user if they have fallen out of their target heart zones.

The Omron Hr-100C heart watch also comes with a comfortable chest strap or transmitter belt that accurately provides heart beat or rate data to the watch up to a distance of thirty meters or ninety eight feet. The great thing about this Omron heart rate monitor is that it works well as an everyday watch too. It displays time of day, a daily reminder alarm and a handy back light feature. What more can you ask for on a heart monitor watch. In addition to all these fantastic features, the Omron Hr-100C is a fraction the price of other monitors.

Review: Suunto T3C Monitor Watch

The Suunto T3C is a versatile heart monitor that displays heart beat/rate in real time and averages, energy and calories burned up during workouts and training. It also comes with the Training Effect Function that gives a reading through measurements on how hard your body is working. With this feature, the user is able to gauge their performance according to their workout and see where improvements can be made. This monitor also comes with the new Digital Interference-free ANT transmission that cancels out cross-talk from other wireless devices and monitors.

Just like the Omron Hr-100C heart monitor watch, the Suunto T3C also works well as an everyday watch. It comes with a dual time mode display, date display function and alarms that come in handy for those fitness enthusiasts. In addition to all these great features, the Suunto T3C is one of those heart monitor watches that are water proof. It is able to withstand pressures down to a depth of one hundred feet. Suunto t6d - Julian Carr

This video shows me checking my Suunto for heart rate before I drop into my first ski day of the year for 2010! Mt. Baldy Alta, Main Chute. I hiked up 2000+ vert, and most importanly.. skied 2000+ feet down! My work out summary can be viewed on movescount.com: www.movescount.com My average HR was 136. Over 2000 calories used. From parking lot, hike, ski, back to car, it was 2 hours 48 minutes. Plus the altimeter in the watch also keeps tabs on total time hiking up, how many feet, idle time, and descent info. Plus it graphs it all amongst everything else! This watch comes with software to download each workout automatically into movescount.com - it graphs your data, and helps you acheive your exercise goals. I have been using my t6d for 2 months now, it is fun learning about the efficiencies/inneffincies of my body. Besides, before this watch, I didn't even know what training effect, oxygen consumption, respiratory rate, energy consumption, and excess post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC) even meant! I love this watch!
